  Digital revision of goache piece my composition sketch for this artwork was done digitally. my thought process was to show a close portrait of a girl with a butterfly and have the area around the butterfly distorted with colors and shapes to represent errors in memory  Original digital sketch: Converted to paper: Progress: i began layering colors for underpainting. Unlike my previous works in acrylic, i had to layer lightly instead of blocking out solid base colors. In this piece i experimented with goache for the first time to achieve a paint watercolor-like effect. I didnt like how dull the colors were, and thought it was important to highlight the vibrant contrast in lighting. Note : Segway to digital art
